A knowledge share event looking at how woodland crofts can deliver local benefits including housing is being held at Dornoch Academy in Dornoch on Wednesday 12 December, hosted by the Highlands Small Communities Housing Trust (HSCHT) in partnership with the Embo Trust.
The event will include morning presentations covering what a woodland croft is, the story of the first new woodland croft created under crofting legislation in 2008, and models of croft housing, as well as support and guidance available. In the afternoon, site visits will be made to local sites of relevance to woodland crofts.
